Keiser University offers both an Associate and Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting that focuses on accounting skills needed in today’s business environment.
The associate degree program provides a basic understanding of essential business skills and addresses unique skills needed by an accounting clerk. Accounting topics include federal taxation, financial accounting, and the use of accounting and tax software.
The bachelor’s degree program offers students the unique skills needed in today’s business environment in various areas of accounting, such as taxation, auditing, managerial/cost, financial, governmental and accounting information systems, as well as general business courses.
Students will gain knowledge of specialty areas within accounting and general business, as well as how to use business and accounting software applications. Students develop critical-thinking, communication and business research writing skills as they prepare for positions in the accounting field.
