Biotechnology

Keiser University's Associate of Science degree in Biotechnology provides practical, real-world education and prepares students for successful careers in the biotechnology field.

Biotechnology is an applied biological science that uses living organisms to create products, perform valuable processes, and solve problems that benefit mankind and the environment. This exciting and growing field offers a variety of career opportunities, particularly in Florida.

Students in the Associate of Science degree program learn the fundamentals of biotech combined with extensive, hands-on laboratory experience. This foundation in biological sciences includes molecular biology, biochemistry and genetics, and develops lab skills such as gene splicing, cell culture and spectrophotometry.

Under the supervision of our dynamic and enthusiastic faculty, students will be prepared for careers in settings that include research facilities; pharmaceutical companies; medical, academic and forensic laboratories; and the agricultural sector.
