Exercise Science

Program Overview

As an exercise science professional, each day provides the opportunity to enhance the health and well-being of others. Keiser University's Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science can equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed in this growing industry. The practical, career-focused curriculum is designed to prepare you for a wide range of positions in the Exercise Science field, as well as for graduate study in occupational therapy, physical therapy, chiropractic and medicine.

Program Objectives

Gain a solid background in anatomy and physiology and advance to courses including kinesiology, strength training and conditioning, corrective exercise techniques, and sports business management. This program can be completed in as few as three years and helps prepare students to take four nationally accredited certification examinations in the field of health-fitness and strength and conditioning, including:

  • American Council on Exercise (ACE) – Certified Personal Trainer
  • American Council on Exercise (ACE) – Advanced Health and Fitness Specialist
  • National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) – Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
  • National Academy of Sports Medicine – Corrective Exercise Specialist

The B.S. in Exercise Science includes an exciting externship program, which provides you with real-world experience in fitness settings, and so you can begin developing your own professional network and career prospects.
