Program Objectives

With cyber attacks accelerating, there is a need for trained professionals and their skills. The Bachelor of Science in Cyber Forensics/Information Security provides information technology professionals with the theoretical and practical knowledge they need to make strategic decisions about information security issues such as access control; secure application development; business continuity planning; operational, physical, and architectural security; and telecommunications and network security. Graduates can sit for the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) exam and are prepared for successful careers as chief information officers, chief security officers and network forensic specialists. This program is designed to meet the requirements of the National Security Agency (NSA) Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) curriculum.
