Program Overview

As businesses, government, schools and other organizations integrate sophisticated technologies into every facet of their operations, the need for professionals with strong information technology backgrounds will continue to grow.

Keiser University's Master of Science in Information Security offers an intensive graduate program that provides information technology professionals with theoretical and practical knowledge in security concepts such as access control, secure application development, business continuity planning, cryptography, e-commerce regulations, operational, physical, architectural security, telecommunications and network security.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

Students in the MS in Information Security program will learn to manage information security for information assurance, evaluate security system hardware and software, assess security needs to maintain confidentiality, plan the use of cryptographic and access control data, and to create information security policies and disaster recovery procedures.

Career Opportunites

This curriculum will prepare students for careers such as:

  • Chief Information Officer
  • Chief Security Officer
  • Network forensic specialist

Upon completion of the program, graduate students should be able to take the widely recognized Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) exam.
