Program Objectives

The Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering program prepares students for entry-level positions in this fast-growing field. Students learn the theoretical foundation of software development and gain a solid understanding of the practical aspects and competencies required by the industry. The curriculum is designed to foster innovation through the flexibility of software engineering as a business problem-solving discipline. You will be taught software engineering procedures and techniques and study the validation and verification of software artifacts. When you graduate, you will have the practical knowledge and skills employers are looking for.

All students can receive training in resume and cover letter writing, interviewing skills, job search techniques and networking. Students also have opportunities to participate in employer on-campus recruiting visits and job fairs. The Office of Student Services offers job placement assistance to graduates.
